Abrasive mesh discs with a dust-permeable mesh backing, designed for sanding soft plaster and render. The pack contains 3 discs, 225 mm in diameter, with a P60 grit, designed for work on plaster, filler and thin-coat renders.
The mesh construction ensures effective extraction of the surplus material being sanded, which minimises clogging of the abrasive grain and extends the life of the disc. The mesh backing allows the disc to be used with a connected dust extraction system.
A special type of grain designed for work on soft plaster and render surfaces. It does not leave deep scratches or sanding marks, which is particularly important when finishing filler before painting.
The material is twice as strong as standard paper discs. The flexible structure adapts to uneven surfaces, ensuring even sanding.
The bond used holds the abrasive grain in place even during intensive work, which translates into consistent abrasive performance throughout the working life of the disc.

The P60 designation specifies the abrasive grain size in accordance with the FEPA standard. It is a medium grit, used for levelling plaster and render surfaces. It removes unevenness while leaving a relatively smooth surface that requires only light sanding with a finer grain before painting.
225 mm discs are the standard for giraffe sanders used in finishing work. Before purchase, check the sanding pad diameter in the sander's technical documentation. The mesh is hook-and-loop fastened, which allows worn discs to be changed quickly during work.
The mesh structure requires a dust extraction system to be connected in order to make full use of its dust-permeable properties. The holes in the mesh must align with the arrangement of the dust extraction holes in the sander's pad. Most giraffe sanders work with this type of disc as standard.
When sanding soft plaster and render, moderate pressure is recommended. Excessive pressure can force the grain too deeply into the soft material and create an uneven, wavy surface. Regular cleaning of the mesh with a brush or compressed air extends its working life.
