225mm P60 Paper Sanding Discs Yato YT-846003
Perforated paper sanding discs for dust-free sanding of filler coats, plasters and gypsum surfaces. The P60 grit is intended for removing imperfections and preparing substrates for painting.
Features of the 225mm sanding discs
P60 grit for coarse sanding
A P60 grit corresponds to an average grain size of approximately 269 microns. It allows efficient removal of coarser imperfections and runs, as well as initial levelling of surfaces before moving on to finer grits. Used at the first stage of working filler coats and plasters.
Perforated for dust extraction
The holes in the disc allow dust to be drawn directly into the sander's extraction system. This provides a cleaner working environment, reduces dust settling on the surface and extends disc life by preventing the abrasive from clogging.
Hook-and-loop backing
The hook-and-loop attachment system allows discs to be changed quickly without tools. It holds the disc securely during use and allows the disc to be removed and refitted repeatedly without losing its holding properties.
225 mm diameter
A size intended for long-reach sanders and drywall sanders. The large working surface speeds up work on bigger areas. Before buying, check the diameter of the sander's backing pad – the disc must match the specification of the machine.

Machine compatibility
225 mm discs fit long-reach sanders and specialist drywall sanders with a backing pad of the same diameter and a hook-and-loop attachment system. Before buying, verify the diameter of the working pad and the attachment type in the sander's technical documentation. A mismatch in specification will prevent the disc from being fitted correctly.
Use and care
When working, P60 sanding discs should be applied with moderate pressure – pressing too hard shortens disc life and can lead to over-sanding the surface. Working with a dust extraction system is recommended, as it extends disc life and improves the quality of the finish.
Paper discs are sensitive to moisture. They should be stored in a dry place, away from water and high humidity. Damp paper loses its abrasive properties and may delaminate during use. Once sanding is finished, unused discs should be removed from the pad and protected from dust.
A worn disc can be recognised by a glazed abrasive, reduced sanding efficiency and visible damage to the paper. Continuing to use a worn disc extends working time and degrades the quality of the finished surface.
