KD5904 adhesive wheel weights are steel balance weights with a zinc coating, supplied on a tape roll of 1200 pieces. They are designed for balancing passenger car and light commercial vehicle wheels on alloy and steel rims in workshop conditions.
Product features
Zinc coating
The zinc layer protects the steel core of the weight against corrosion caused by contact with moisture, road salt and contaminants. This translates into a bond that lasts throughout the tyre's service season.
Self-adhesive backing
The adhesive tape applied at the factory to the underside of the weight allows fitting without additional tools. The adhesive retains its grip across a wide temperature range and in high-humidity conditions, which matters when driving in rain and in winter.
Tape roll format
Weights arranged on a continuous tape allow individual pieces to be counted off and torn away quickly, with no risk of them scattering. A 1200-piece roll reduces how often stock has to be replenished in a busy workshop.
Rim compatibility
Adhesive weights are used only on the smooth inner surfaces of rims – both alloy (aluminium alloy) and steel. The rim surface must be degreased before fitting, which ensures maximum adhesion of the adhesive.

How to choose the right weight mass and check compatibility
5 g weights are used as the base unit – an electronic wheel balancer indicates the required correction mass, which is achieved by sticking on the appropriate number of weights. The adhesive type is intended only for rims with a smooth fitting surface inside the rim well. For rims with a flanged edge profile, clip-on (knock-on) weights are used. Before purchase, make sure your workshop balancer supports 5 g adhesive weights.
Use and storage
Before sticking on the weight, clean the rim surface of dust, oil and moisture – ideally with isopropyl alcohol. The ambient temperature during fitting should be at least +10°C so that the adhesive achieves full adhesion. Store the roll in a dry place, away from direct sunlight, which can weaken the properties of the adhesive tape.
