A deep impact socket, 41 mm in size with a 1-inch drive, intended for professional use in vehicle workshops. Its chrome molybdenum (CrMo) steel construction provides resistance to the heavy impact loads generated when working with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches.
A 1" (25.4 mm) drive is the standard for high-power professional pneumatic and electric tools. It transmits the high torques needed when working on the wheels of HGVs and industrial machinery.
Compared with ordinary tool steel, the CrMo alloy offers greater resistance to bending and shock. The addition of chromium and molybdenum increases hardness and wear resistance, which extends the socket's service life under intensive use.
The 80 mm length allows access to bolts and nuts seated deeper in mounting recesses, particularly in HGV wheel hubs. The extended body makes work in hard-to-reach places easier without the need for extensions.
The 41 mm size matches the standard hub nuts fitted to HGVs, buses and construction machinery. The six-point profile spreads the force evenly across all corners of the nut, minimising the risk of damage.

The socket is designed for use with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches fitted with a 1" square drive. Before buying, check the hub nut size on the equipment you are working on – HGVs use a range of standards (most commonly 30 mm, 32 mm, 33 mm, 38 mm and 41 mm). The socket is not intended for use with manual ratchet handles because of the high torques required.
Before starting work, make sure the socket is correctly seated on the anvil of the impact wrench – any play can damage both the socket and the nut. After each use, clean the socket of dirt and protect it with a thin film of oil, which prevents corrosion.
When using an impact wrench, build up the impact force gradually – start on the lower settings and increase power only when necessary. Excessive force can damage the thread or deform the nut. Check the condition of the socket's internal profile regularly – worn corners may slip on the nut instead of undoing it.
