A long impact socket with a 1" drive, designed for removing and fitting wheels on passenger cars, trucks and industrial machinery. Made from chrome-molybdenum CrMo steel for resistance to impact loads.
The 1" (25.4 mm) square drive fits the air and electric impact wrenches used in automotive workshops. This size transmits torques above 1000 Nm, which is essential when loosening wheel nuts on heavy vehicles.
The 80 mm length provides access to nuts recessed deep inside aluminium and steel wheel rims. This is particularly useful on hubs with protruding studs and on vehicles with large-diameter disc brake systems.
The chrome-molybdenum alloy has a tensile strength above 900 MPa and resistance to cracking under dynamic loads. The material retains its mechanical properties during intensive work with impact wrenches generating thousands of impacts per minute.
The six-point socket distributes pressure onto the flat faces of the nut, minimising the risk of rounding off the corners. The design provides better location of the socket and reduced play compared with 12-point profiles.

The socket fits air and electric impact wrenches with a 1" square drive. Before use, check that the maximum torque of the wrench does not exceed the strength of the nut-to-hub joint. For wheel nuts, the tightening torque is typically 110–180 Nm depending on the vehicle manufacturer.
Before each use, check the condition of the 6-point socket for signs of wear or cracks. Impact sockets require periodic lubrication at the point where they connect to the drive, to prevent seizing and excessive wear.
After use, clean the socket of dirt and protect it against corrosion. In intensive use, check the socket dimensions with a vernier calliper – the tolerance on the 32 mm dimension should not exceed ±0.2 mm.
Impact sockets must not be used with hand wrenches fitted with a breaker bar, as they are not designed to withstand high static loads. Impact sockets are engineered specifically for the dynamic loads generated by air and electric impact wrenches.
