A specialist extractor set in socket form, designed for removing damaged, rusted or sheared bolts and nuts. The reverse-thread internal flutes allow fasteners to be removed safely, without the risk of further damage.
The internal reverse thread grips the damaged bolt firmly as it is turned. The greater the resistance, the tighter the grip on the fastener. The spiral internal flutes stabilise the socket's position.
The length of the sockets provides access to bolts set in recesses or surrounded by other components. Particularly useful when working on exhaust systems, suspension or underbody parts.
An alloy with increased hardness and resistance to twisting. The chrome content improves corrosion resistance, while molybdenum enhances mechanical strength. The material retains its properties under dynamic loads.
The external hexagonal profile is gripped by standard 1/2" sockets. Compatible with socket wrenches, ratchets and torque wrenches with the appropriate drive.

Before using the socket, clean the work area of dirt and rust. Select a socket size slightly smaller than the diameter of the damaged bolt. Fit the extractor over the bolt and tap it gently with a hammer so that the internal flutes bite into the fastener. Turn with a slow, steady motion, avoiding jerking.
After each use, clean metal swarf from the sockets and protect them with a thin coat of maintenance oil. Store in a dry place, ideally in a dedicated case or tool box. Check the condition of the internal flutes regularly – worn sockets lose their ability to grip effectively.
