Sanding discs with hook and loop backing, designed for sanding work with random orbital sanders. The perforations provide effective dust extraction, and the P60 grit allows fast material removal from metal, wood and plastic surfaces.
Features of YATO Sanding Discs
P60 Grit – Fast Material Removal
The P60 grit (250 µm) is intended for coarse sanding and stripping coatings. Abrasive grains of this size effectively remove rust, paint, varnish and surface imperfections, leaving a scratch pattern suitable for further work with finer grits.
Hook and Loop System – Quick Disc Changes
The hook and loop (Velcro) backing allows the disc to be changed instantly without tools. The system holds the disc securely during work at high speeds and allows it to be removed and refitted on the sander backing pad many times.
Perforations – Effective Dust Extraction
The holes in the disc match the hole pattern on the backing pad of a sander with a dust extraction system. The perforations prevent the abrasive grains from clogging, extend disc life and improve working conditions by reducing airborne dust.

115 mm discs fit random orbital and angle sanders with a hook and loop backing pad of the same diameter. Before buying, check the backing pad diameter on your sander and whether it has a hook and loop attachment system. The holes in the disc must match the perforation pattern on the backing pad of a sander with dust extraction.
Use and Maintenance
Before fitting the disc, make sure the backing pad is clean and free of dust and residue from the previous abrasive. Press the disc evenly onto the whole surface of the pad, avoiding creases and folds that can cause uneven wear.
During work, moderate pressure should be applied – excessive pressure shortens disc life and can overheat the workpiece. When working on metal, it is worth taking regular breaks to let the work surface cool.
Worn discs that have lost their abrasive properties or been mechanically damaged should be replaced immediately. Working with a worn disc reduces sanding efficiency and increases the risk of damaging the workpiece.
