An impact socket made from chrome vanadium steel, designed for use with pneumatic and electric impact wrenches. The 32 mm size is well suited to removing and fitting fasteners in mechanical workshops and during vehicle repairs.
A material with increased resistance to impact and deformation. The chrome vanadium alloy provides a hard surface while retaining a ductile core, which minimises the risk of cracking when working with impact wrenches.
The 12.7 mm standard used in professional pneumatic and electric tools. It ensures compatibility with most impact wrenches found in automotive and industrial workshops.
A versatile size used on wheel nuts and on suspension and steering components. It is commonly found on trucks and on construction and agricultural machinery.
Reinforced walls and special heat treatment allow the socket to be used with tools that generate impact pulses. It transmits higher torque than standard hand sockets.
| Model | YT-1799 |
| Manufacturer | YATO |
| Socket size | 32 mm |
| Drive size | 1/2" (12.7 mm) |
| Socket type | Impact |
| Material | Chrome vanadium steel (Cr-V) |
| Socket profile | 6-point |
The socket works with pneumatic, electric and cordless impact wrenches fitted with a 1/2" square drive. Before use, check that the tool delivers a torque suitable for the socket size.
Only impact sockets should be used with impact wrenches. Standard hand sockets can crack under impact pulses. Check the condition of the socket before every use — cracks or excessive wear to the profile mean the socket must be taken out of service.
After use, clean the socket of any contamination and protect it with a thin film of oil. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion. Check the condition of the drive end regularly — a worn square can cause the socket to slip off the wrench during use.
