1/2" Impact Sockets 10–32 mm, 16-Piece Set — Kraft&Dele KD11749
A 16-piece set of 1/2" drive impact sockets designed for use with pneumatic wrenches and cordless impact wrenches. The sockets are made from chromium-molybdenum steel (Cr-Mo), which withstands varying and high impact loads. The 10–32 mm size range covers the bolt and nut sizes most commonly found in automotive work.
Set features
Chromium-molybdenum steel (Cr-Mo)
Impact sockets require a material with different properties to hand sockets. Cr-Mo steel offers twice the tensile strength and three times the yield strength of ordinary carbon steel — which translates into resistance to cracking and deformation when working with a pneumatic or impact wrench.
1/2" drive — workshop use
The 1/2" drive size is the standard in professional workshops and tyre shops. It fits the vast majority of pneumatic wrenches and cordless impact wrenches used in automotive work. Before use, check that the square drive of the wrench matches the 1/2" size.
Wide size range
The set contains 16 sockets: 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 21, 22, 24, 27, 30 and 32 mm. It covers the sizes typical of wheels, braking systems, suspension and other components of passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Storage case
The set is supplied in a case with moulded recesses. It allows quick identification of a missing piece and protects the sockets from damage during transport and storage in the workshop.
Impact sockets vs hand sockets — an important difference
Impact sockets (marked with a black oxide finish or the word "impact") should not be used with hand wrenches as a substitute for chrome-plated sockets. They differ in wall thickness and material properties — Cr-Mo sockets are designed to absorb impact energy, whereas chrome-plated (Cr-V) sockets may crack under impact load.
