A 12-point socket with a 1/2-inch drive and an 11 mm socket size, made from chrome vanadium CrV 50BV3 steel. Designed for use with torque wrenches, ratchets and extension bars in the 1/2" drive standard.
A material characterised by increased hardness and wear resistance. The chromium and vanadium alloy provides corrosion resistance and maintains its mechanical properties even under intensive use in workshop conditions.
Twelve points of contact with the nut allow the socket to be positioned every 30 degrees, which makes work in confined spaces easier. Spreading the force over a greater number of points reduces the risk of damaging the corners of fasteners.
The forging process increases the density of the material and the strength of its internal structure. Precision calibration of the dimensions guarantees conformity with DIN tolerances and ensures a secure fit on both the drive and the nut.
The 1/2" (12.7 mm) standard is the most popular drive size in workshop applications. Compatible with a wide range of ratchets, torque wrenches, extension bars and universal joints available on the market.

Before buying, measure the nut or bolt with an adjustable spanner or a vernier caliper. The 11 mm size refers to the across-flats dimension - the distance between opposite flats of a hex or 12-point nut. A 1/2" drive fits standard ratchets and torque wrenches with a 12.7 mm square drive.
12-point sockets require regular maintenance to remain fully functional. After each use, clean contamination, oil and rust from the inside of the socket. Periodic lubrication of the drive prevents corrosion and ensures a smooth fit on the ratchet.
When working with a 1/2" socket, using a torque wrench is recommended for tightening components to a specified torque. Avoiding overloading and hammer blows extends the service life of the tool. If the internal profile becomes worn - visible rounding of the corners - the socket should be replaced to avoid damaging nuts.
