Features of the 122mm diamond core drill bit
Laser-welded diamond segments
Laser welding technology ensures a durable bond between the segments and the drill bit body. The construction withstands high temperatures when drilling concrete and reinforced concrete, which extends the tool's service life and reduces the risk of segment detachment.
Soft cobalt layer
The cobalt layer makes it possible to drill without a drill stand - using a hand-held core drill. The material absorbs vibration and keeps the bit stable during operation, which matters for electrical installations that require precision.
122mm diameter - an installation standard
The 122mm diameter is sized for deep electrical back boxes, ventilation ducting and ducts up to 110mm in diameter. A hole of this size provides installation space with an allowance for insulation and sealing.
5/4" connection - core drill compatibility

Dry and wet drilling

Wet drilling
Recommended for deeper holes and for drilling reinforced concrete. Water cools the diamond segments, extends the bit's service life and eliminates dust. It requires connecting the core drill to a water supply or using a pressurised water tank. The preferred method on sites with health and safety requirements regarding dust.
Core drill compatibility
The YT-60377 diamond core drill bit works with core drills fitted with a 5/4" connection. Before purchase, check the "spindle thread" parameter in the core drill's manual. The 122mm diameter requires a core drill of at least 2000W - lower power can cause the motor to overheat when drilling reinforced concrete.
The bit fits the YATO YT-81980 core drill and other models with a 5/4" thread available on the market. For drilling without a stand, a core drill with a side handle and an anti-vibration system is recommended.
