18 mm Segmented Blade in SK5 Steel
The blade is made from SK5 tool steel, which offers increased hardness and wear resistance. The 18 mm width provides stability when cutting thicker materials, and the segmented design lets you snap off worn tips and refresh the cutting edge quickly without replacing the whole blade.
Rubberised Body with Ergonomic Grip
The two-component design combines a plastic base with a rubber coating. The rubber increases friction between the hand and the tool, reducing the risk of the knife slipping when working with materials that require greater pressure. A particularly useful solution during longer cutting sessions.
Metal Blade Guide

The Snap-Off Mechanism
The segmented blade has notches that allow the worn tip to be snapped off. Once the cutting edge is blunt, extend the blade to its maximum length, secure it with the lock and snap off the end segment using pliers or a dedicated blade snapper. One blade change provides 8-13 fresh cutting edges, depending on the length of the segment.
Use and Maintenance
Before starting work, check the condition of the blade lock and make sure the sliding mechanism moves smoothly. Extend the blade only as far as necessary – extending it too far increases the risk of breakage and reduces cutting precision.
When you have finished, fully retract the blade into the body and secure it with the lock. Regularly cleaning dust and material residue from the guide prevents the mechanism from jamming. Do not use the knife to cut materials harder than those it is intended for – doing so may chip the blade or damage the guide.
To change the blade, release the mechanism, extend the worn blade fully and insert a new one into the guide. Store used blades in a safe container and dispose of them in accordance with local regulations.
