18mm segmented blade
The snap-off blade system lets you renew the cutting edge without replacing the whole blade. Once a segment becomes blunt, simply snap off the worn part to reveal a sharp edge again. A single blade usually contains 8-13 segments, which extends the service life of the tool.
18mm width
The 18mm format strikes a balance between precision and strength. A blade of this width is stiffer than the 9mm variant, which reduces flex when cutting thicker materials. At the same time it remains manoeuvrable enough for work that demands accuracy.
Plastic body

Replacing blade segments
To snap off a worn segment, extend the blade fully, locate the snap line (the notch on the blade), then snap the segment off using pliers or a dedicated blade snapper. Carry out the task away from your body, pointing the blade in a safe direction. Once the segment has been removed, retract the mechanism to its starting position.
Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check the condition of the blade and that the locking mechanism operates correctly. During cutting, guide the tool with a steady motion, without excessive pressure, which may cause the blade to snap. When you have finished, retract the blade into the body and secure it with the lock.
18mm segmented blades are a replaceable item, available in various steel hardness grades. For soft materials (paper, cardboard) use standard blades; for harder ones (linoleum, rubber) use reinforced blades. Clean the body with a dry cloth and avoid contact with solvents, which may damage the plastic.
