Steel hand cutters, 600 mm long, designed for cutting steel wire, rods and chains. The hardened blades provide durability under regular use in the workshop or on site.
The 24-inch arms increase leverage, which translates into greater cutting force with less effort from the operator. The design allows comfortable working when cutting larger-diameter materials.
The cutters are designed for cutting steel wire, rods and chains up to 8 mm in diameter. This figure refers to mild steel – with hardened materials or high-strength alloys the working diameter may be smaller.
The hardening process increases the hardness of the cutting edges, which ensures a longer blade life and keeps them sharp even under intensive use. Hardened steel retains its cutting properties for longer than non-hardened steel.
The tool is designed for cutting various metal materials – coiled wire, steel rods, chains and heavier electrical cables. It performs well in installation, workshop and construction work.
| Model | GEKO G01361 |
| Overall length | 600 mm (24 inches) |
| Maximum wire cutting diameter | 8 mm |
| Blade material | Hardened steel |
| Intended use | Wire, rods, chains |
| Tool type | Hand cutters |
The maximum cutting diameter of 8 mm refers to mild (non-hardened) steel. When cutting harder materials such as stainless or hardened steel, the actual working diameter will be smaller. Exceeding the recommended diameter may damage the blades or cause excessive wear to the mechanism.
Before starting work, check the condition of the blades and the pivot joint. Cutting should be done in a single, smooth movement – avoid repeated squeezing in the same place. After finishing work, clean the blades of dirt and protect them with a light film of oil, which prevents corrosion.
Regular lubrication of the pivot ensures smooth movement and reduces mechanical wear. If the blades become blunt, they can be sharpened with a file or grinder, maintaining the original cutting-edge angle.
