The KD3501 chain hoist is a manual lifting device designed for raising and lowering loads of up to 3000 kg. Its chain-drive mechanism allows precise control of the load without electrical power, making the unit independent of a mains supply.
A 3-tonne capacity allows engine blocks, gearboxes, machine pallets and steel structural components to be lifted. The load capacity is a nominal figure — a safety factor must be taken into account and the stated value must never be exceeded.
The 8 mm steel chain provides adequate tensile strength for the stated load capacity. The 3-metre length defines the maximum working travel — the distance between the top hook and the load hook in the lowest position.
The cast-iron body is highly resistant to mechanical impact and to the environmental conditions typically found in production halls and workshops. Cast iron damps vibration and gives the gear mechanism rigidity.
Drive is provided by pulling the hand chain, eliminating the need for an electrical or pneumatic connection. The mechanical gearing delivers a high lifting force with a relatively low pull force on the chain.

Read the user manual supplied with the set before first use. The hoist is mounted on a load-bearing beam or crane hook with a capacity at least equal to the load capacity of the unit. The suspension point must be checked for structural strength before work begins.
The supporting structure (beam, tube, crane) to which the hoist is attached must withstand the combined dynamic load arising from the weight of the load and the weight of the unit itself. Hooks with safety latches, which prevent the chain from accidentally slipping out, are recommended.
The load chain should be lubricated regularly with machine grease, particularly when used in dusty or highly humid conditions. Before each use, check the condition of the chain links, hooks and ratchet mechanism — components showing deformation or cracks mean the unit must be taken out of service.
