An electrical plug for connecting a vehicle's wiring to a trailer. The standard 7-pin connector supports the basic lighting functions in line with European standards. The aluminium housing increases resistance to operating conditions.
The 7-pin layout complies with the European ISO 1724 standard. Each pin handles a specific function: side lights, left and right indicators, brake lights, earth, reversing light and an auxiliary power supply. Check compatibility with the socket in the vehicle before fitting.
An aluminium body offers better corrosion resistance than standard plastics. The material withstands vibration while driving as well as exposure to moisture, road salt and fluctuating temperatures. This increases the durability of the connection over long-term use.
The plug is designed for 12V vehicle electrical systems, which is the standard for cars and vans. Do not use in lorries with a 24V system – these require dedicated solutions.
The ergonomic connector fits a standard 7-pin socket. The design provides a secure click that prevents accidental disconnection while driving. Fitting does not require specialist tools.

Pin 1 – left-hand indicator (yellow), Pin 2 – rear fog light (blue), Pin 3 – earth (white), Pin 4 – right-hand indicator (green), Pin 5 – right-hand side light (brown), Pin 6 – brake lights (red), Pin 7 – left-hand side light (black). Wire colours may vary depending on the vehicle manufacturer – always check the wiring diagram.
Disconnect the vehicle battery before starting work. Check the condition of the wiring – damaged insulation can cause short circuits. Each pin in the plug must be connected to the correct wire in accordance with the ISO 1724 layout. Use crimp connectors or soldering for a secure connection.
Once fitted, test all lighting functions with the vehicle engine running. Check the side lights, indicators, brakes and reversing light. No signal on one of the circuits may indicate incorrect wiring or a damaged pin.
Check the plug regularly – particularly after driving in winter conditions or contact with water. Clean deposits and moisture from the contacts. Applying contact grease extends the life of the connection. If there are signs of corrosion on the pins, replace the plug to avoid lighting failure while driving.
