A tool designed for repairing cracked plastic parts by welding with steel staples. The 85W heating element melts the staples into the material, restoring the structural continuity of the part so that the damaged component does not have to be replaced. The kit includes four types of staples, side cutters, a trimming knife and a carry case.
The 85W output provides enough heat to fuse steel staples with the plastic surface. A short heat-up time reduces preparation time and allows consecutive welds to be made efficiently without long pauses.
The set includes V-shaped (outside corner), inside corner, flat and wave staples. The different geometries allow the joint type to be matched to the nature of the crack — flat staples work well on linear splits, wave staples on tensile stress, while V-shaped and inside corner staples are suited to corners and edges.
Once a staple has been melted into the plastic, its ends may protrude above the surface of the repaired part. The supplied side cutters allow the excess material to be trimmed precisely, which is essential before any filling or painting.
The set is stored in a case with moulded compartments for each item. This keeps the staples from mixing or being lost and protects the tool itself from damage when moved between work areas.

The hot staple welder is effective primarily on thermoplastics such as PP (polypropylene), ABS, PE and PA. The plastic type is usually indicated by a recycling triangle symbol or by an abbreviation moulded into the inside of the part. Thermosetting plastics (e.g. some composites) are not suitable for repair by this method, as they do not soften when heated.
