A cutting tool with a 9 mm snap-off blade made from SK2H steel, fitted with an auto lock mechanism and an ergonomic TPR grip. The design keeps the blade steady during work that requires precise cutting of soft and medium-hard materials.
SK2H is a carbon tool steel with a hardness of 58-62 HRC that keeps the cutting edge sharp for a long time. The black coating increases corrosion resistance and reduces friction during cutting. The snap-off blade lets you break off worn segments and renew the edge without replacing the whole blade.
The auto lock mechanism keeps the blade from retracting accidentally during work under a load of up to 20 newtons. This prevents the blade from moving when cutting thicker materials and improves user safety. The metal guide holds the blade firmly with no sideways play.
The thermoplastic rubber (TPR) on the handle increases friction and provides a secure grip even with damp hands. The handle profile follows the natural anatomy of the hand, reducing fatigue during prolonged work. The TPR material dampens the vibration transferred to the hand during cutting.
Acrylonitrile butadiene styrene is an engineering plastic resistant to impact and abrasion that retains its mechanical properties across a temperature range of -20°C to +80°C. The body design protects the sliding mechanism and the guide from contamination. ABS does not react with the organic solvents used in finishing work.

Once the cutting edge becomes blunt, snap off the end segment of the blade using pliers or a dedicated snap-off tool. A 9 mm blade has 13 segments as standard, which allows the edge to be renewed several times. Before snapping off a segment, fully retract the blade into the body and secure the lock slider.
The YT-75003 knife takes standard snap-off blades with a width of 9 mm and a thickness of 0.38-0.50 mm. Blades are available in SK2 and SK5 carbon steel as well as stainless steel versions. Use mild, chemically non-aggressive cleaners on the body, avoiding acetone-based solvents.
The sliding mechanism needs periodic cleaning to remove dust and debris, together with a thin layer of machine oil applied to the metal guide. Do not use consistent greases, which can trap debris and hinder blade movement.
Always cut away from your body and keep your other hand clear of the blade's path. Retract the blade into the body immediately after cutting. Never use the knife to cut hard or metal materials, or as a lever. Dispose of used blade segments in a sharps container.
