YATO YT-2173 300 mm Adjustable Spanner
A 300 mm adjustable spanner with movable jaws, made from CrV40 chrome vanadium steel. Compliant with the DIN 3117 standard, it is designed for assembly and servicing work on nuts and bolts of various sizes.
Technical features of the adjustable spanner
CrV40 chrome vanadium steel
A steel alloy with added chromium and vanadium for increased hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. CrV40 is resistant to deformation under high loads, which translates into a longer tool life under intensive use.
42 mm jaw capacity
A maximum jaw capacity of 42 mm allows work on nuts and bolts with spanner sizes from approximately 8 mm to 42 mm. The adjustment mechanism allows smooth regulation of the jaw opening via the worm screw, removing the need to carry a set of open-ended spanners.
Head offset by 15°

How to use the adjustable spanner
Before starting work, check the condition of the adjustment mechanism and the jaws. The jaw opening is adjusted with the worm screw located near the head – turning it clockwise increases the opening and anticlockwise decreases it. Fit the spanner onto the nut or bolt so that the jaws sit fully against the edges of the fastener. Apply force towards the movable jaw to prevent the mechanism from loosening. After use, clean the tool of any contamination and protect it from moisture.
