A Swedish pattern adjustable spanner 300 mm long with a wide 60 mm jaw capacity. The forged CrV steel construction with extended, slim jaws allows work in hard-to-reach places on components of larger diameter.
The wide adjustment range allows nuts and components from a few millimetres up to 60 mm in diameter to be gripped. This capacity corresponds to standard M6 to M36 nuts, which removes the need to keep a large set of open-ended spanners in the workshop.
The jaw geometry is modified compared with standard adjustable spanners, making it possible to reach nuts in recesses, narrow assembly spaces and pipework in confined installation areas.
The worm screw system maintains constant pressure on the component without the need for re-tightening during use. This eliminates the tendency for the spanner to slip and prevents damage to nut edges when torque is applied.
Precisely ground gripping surfaces ensure secure contact with the component. The printed millimetre scale allows the jaw opening to be set quickly without repeatedly offering the spanner up to the nut.
Chrome vanadium (CrV) steel combines hardness with impact resistance. Drop forging densifies the material structure and eliminates internal stresses, which increases the strength of the spanner when working on seized joints.
The ergonomic shape with a rubber coating ensures a secure grip when working in contact with oils and greases. The contoured profile reduces hand fatigue during prolonged use of the tool.

Before starting work, set the jaw opening slightly smaller than the size of the nut, then tighten the worm screw mechanism once the spanner is in place. A setting that is too loose leads to wear on the nut edges and damage to the gripping surfaces of the spanner.
The adjustable spanner should be positioned so that force is applied towards the moving jaw (from the side of the worm screw mechanism). Working in the opposite direction may cause the jaws to open under load and damage the joint.
The thread of the worm screw mechanism should be cleaned of contamination regularly and a drop of machine oil applied. This prevents the mechanism from seizing and ensures smooth adjustment of the jaw opening throughout the life of the tool.
