A 375 mm adjustable spanner forged from chrome vanadium steel, intended for workshop and assembly work. A jaw opening of up to 45 mm allows work with nuts and bolts of various sizes without the need to change tools.
The forging process increases the strength of the material by densifying its metal structure. The addition of chromium and vanadium raises resistance to wear and corrosion, which extends the service life of the tool under intensive use in a workshop environment.
A maximum opening of 45 mm allows nuts and bolt heads from approximately 6 mm to 45 mm to be handled. This eliminates the need for a full set of open-ended spanners in this size range, which is particularly useful for on-site work.
The rubber covering on the handle increases friction between the hand and the tool, which prevents the spanner from slipping when force is applied. The material absorbs some of the vibration transmitted to the hand during work.
The DIN 3117 standard specifies requirements for the dimensions, manufacturing tolerances and mechanical strength of adjustable spanners. Compliance with this standard confirms that the tool meets the quality standards applied in European industry.

During work the spanner should be positioned perpendicular to the axis of the nut or bolt. The jaws should be tightened onto the component with appropriate pressure – a setting that is too loose causes the tool to slip and damages the edges, while one that is too tight makes adjusting the opening difficult. Force should be applied in the direction of the fixed jaw (the immovable part of the head), which prevents the opening from changing by itself during work.
After finishing work the spanner should be cleaned of dirt and dried. The adjustment mechanism should be lubricated periodically with machine oil, which ensures smooth adjustment of the opening. The tool should be stored in a dry place, protected from moisture that causes corrosion. Check regularly the condition of the rubber handle grip and the working jaws for mechanical damage.
When using an adjustable spanner, work gloves should be worn to protect the hands from injury. The handle must not be extended with a pipe or any other object in order to increase torque – this may damage the adjustment mechanism or break the tool. The spanner is not intended for hammering or for use as a lever.
