An adjustable spanner (Swedish pattern) from the GEKO PROFI series — a hand tool with variable jaw capacity, designed for tightening and loosening bolts and nuts of various sizes. Made from CRV chrome vanadium steel with a hardness of 46–48 HRC, it is built for intensive use in workshop and installation environments.
CRV steel offers greater wear and corrosion resistance than standard carbon steels. In hand tools this translates into a longer service life for the jaws and the adjustment mechanism, particularly when working with rusted or heavily tightened fasteners.
The Rockwell scale (HRC) defines a material's resistance to plastic deformation. A value of 46–48 HRC means the jaws of the spanner hold their shape under heavy load — they are not crushed or deformed by high tightening torque, which directly affects working precision and user safety.
The metric graduation on the adjustment mechanism lets you set the jaw capacity to a specific size without having to check it against a bolt each time. It speeds up work on repetitive tasks and reduces the risk of slipping caused by a poorly fitting spanner.
The 8" (200 mm) length places this spanner in the compact tool category — it performs well in areas with limited access where longer models (10", 12") would be difficult to manoeuvre. The hole in the handle allows storage on a tool board or hanging from a tool belt.

Adjustable spanners are chosen primarily by maximum jaw capacity. Model G10217 covers bolts and nuts up to 26 mm (the equivalent of a 26 mm open-end spanner). The 200 mm length determines the torque available — for heavily tightened joints requiring greater torque, longer models (250 mm or 300 mm) are used.
