Angled Sanding Block 125x90x25mm P180 GEKO G78566

A hand-held sanding block with an angled shape, designed for precise sanding of wood, metal, composite and plaster surfaces. The angled form provides access to hard-to-reach areas and enables finishing work.

Product Features

P180 Grit – Medium Smoothing

The P180 designation denotes an abrasive grain size of approximately 82 microns. This grit is used to smooth surfaces after sanding with a coarser grain and to prepare the substrate for lacquering or painting. It removes fine scratches and imperfections, leaving a smooth surface.

Angled Block Shape

The angled form allows work at an angle, which makes it easier to sand corners, edges and hard-to-reach areas. The inclined surface improves control over pressure and allows precise guidance of the tool during finishing work.

Versatile Applications

The block's design allows sanding of various materials – from solid wood and veneers, through plasters and gypsum fillers, to metal surfaces and composites. This versatility removes the need for separate tools for different substrates.

Dimensions 125x90x25 mm

The size of the block strikes a balance between working surface and manoeuvrability. The dimensions allow efficient sanding of larger surfaces while maintaining precision on details. The 25 mm thickness provides adequate rigidity during use.

Use and Maintenance

How to Use

The block is a hand tool – sanding is carried out with a back-and-forth motion along the wood grain or in a single direction on other surfaces. The angled shape is used when working in corners and on edges, positioning the block at the appropriate angle. Apply even pressure and check the condition of the abrasive surface regularly.

Maintenance

After finishing work, clean the block of dust by tapping it or using a brush. Contaminated abrasive grains lose their effectiveness – if the block becomes greasy, a degreaser can be used. Store in a dry place, away from moisture. A worn abrasive surface should be replaced with a new block.

Choosing the Grit for the Stage of Work

P180 grit is an intermediate or finishing stage in the sanding process. Before using P180, coarser grits (P80-P120) are usually used to remove larger imperfections. After P180, you can move on to P240-P320 grits to achieve a very smooth surface for clear lacquers or satin finishes.
