An axe with a 1250 g head and a 28-inch (695 mm) fibreglass handle. The tool combines the strength of a hardened steel head with the flexibility of a composite handle and an ergonomic TPR grip.
The head is made from carbon steel that has been hardened and tempered. This process increases the ductility of the edge, which makes sharpening easier and reduces the risk of the edge chipping during use. The material provides long-lasting sharpness and resistance to deformation.
Fibreglass offers high mechanical strength at a low weight. Unlike wood, it does not crack under the influence of moisture, does not dry out in the sun and requires no maintenance. The material also dampens the vibrations generated on impact, which reduces strain on the wrists.
Thermoplastic rubber (TPR) in the grip area provides non-slip properties even with wet hands. Deep grooves increase the contact area with the hand, improving control over the tool. The material is resistant to moisture and does not harden at low temperatures.
These parameters determine the impact force and the scope of work. A 1250 g head generates enough energy to split medium and thick timber. The 695 mm (28-inch) length allows effective work while maintaining control of the tool in confined spaces.

High-carbon steel can be sharpened easily with a file or whetstone. The recommended sharpening angle is 20-30 degrees. Regular sharpening increases working efficiency and reduces the risk of the tool kicking back.
The rubber blade guard protects the cutting edge during storage and transport. The fibreglass handle requires no special storage conditions – the tool can be kept in damp rooms without risk of damage.
Before starting work, check that the head is securely fitted to the handle. Make sure the working area is free of obstacles within a radius of at least 2 metres. Wear work gloves and safety footwear with a steel toe cap.
