An axe with a forged carbon steel head and a composite fibreglass handle. Designed for splitting firewood and forestry work that calls for a durable tool able to withstand changing weather conditions.
Tool features
Forged carbon steel head
Forging gives the steel a uniform structure, which translates into resistance to chipping and cracking on impact. The cutting edge and the poll are ground with grinding stones using diamond technology — the cutting edge geometry obtained this way can be restored to its factory condition by re-sharpening.
Fibreglass handle — heat-fitted
The fibreglass core of the handle offers higher resistance to breaking than wood, at a comparable weight. The head is fitted thermally — the molten fibreglass mass fills the inside of the poll and sets, creating a joint that cannot work loose during use. A special indentation in the inner part of the poll mechanically locks the head in place.
Metal collar in the upper part of the handle
The built-in steel collar stiffens the zone of greatest stress — directly next to the head. It prevents micro-cracks in the handle material at the point where the greatest shear force is concentrated during impact.
Outer layer of the handle — weather resistance
The plastic coating is resistant to water, UV and temperature changes — it neither swells nor dries out like wood. The non-slip surface with an oil-resistant texture maintains a secure grip even in wet or dirty gloves, and its smooth structure makes it easy to clean.

Sharpening and maintenance
The cutting edge can be restored to its factory condition by hand-sharpening with a stone or file — the cutting edge geometry allows this. The fibreglass handle requires no impregnation or seasoning. The outer coating only needs to be wiped with a damp cloth. Before storing, it is advisable to check that the head-to-handle joint shows no play — this is a standard check for any striking tool.
