A 10-piece set of sockets with a wedge-grip internal profile, designed for removing damaged, sheared or seized bolts and nuts. The tools are made from chrome vanadium steel in sizes from 9 to 19 mm and supplied in a carry case.
Set Features
Wedge-grip profile
The sockets have a specially shaped low-profile internal flute that bites into the damaged bolt or nut when turned in the removal direction. This provides a secure grip even when the outer surface of the head is partly damaged or the standard tool slips on it.
Chrome vanadium steel (CrV)
CrV steel offers greater hardness and resistance to twisting than tools made from carbon steel. For extractors, which operate under considerable torque on damaged fasteners, the material's resistance to permanent deformation translates directly into tool life.

How do bolt extractors work?
Unlike standard sockets, bolt extractors for damaged fasteners have an internal profile shaped at an angle. When turned in the removal direction (anticlockwise), the profile bites into the material of the bolt or nut, increasing the grip as the applied torque rises. This method works well on heads with rounded edges, partial damage or signs of corrosion — the key to success is choosing a socket size that matches the original dimensions of the head.

Use
Before use, select the socket size that matches the nominal diameter of the bolt or nut head — not its size after damage. Fit the socket onto the head and apply torque in the removal direction. For heavily seized fasteners, apply a penetrating oil beforehand and wait a few minutes before attempting removal. The 7×90 mm extension bar allows access to fasteners in recesses or where working space is limited.
After work, clean the sockets of dirt and oil and return them to their marked places in the case. Storing in a dry place reduces the risk of surface corrosion on the steel.
