Female quick coupling for pneumatic hoses with a 6 mm internal diameter. Made of brass, it forms the socket side of quick-connect compressed air systems.
The female coupling forms the socket into which the male plug is inserted. It allows hoses to be connected and disconnected repeatedly without tools. The locking mechanism prevents accidental disconnection when working under pressure.
Brass provides corrosion resistance in a compressed air environment and good thermal conductivity. The material offers mechanical strength while allowing precision machining, which translates into leak-tight connections.
This parameter specifies the internal diameter of the hose to which the coupling is fitted. 6 mm hose is used in low-flow air installations, typically at working pressures up to 10 bar. Before purchase, measure the internal diameter of the hose with a vernier calliper.
Rigid packaging protects the part from mechanical damage during transport and storage. It allows the product to be displayed without opening the packaging, which matters for bulk purchases.

A female coupling requires a matching male plug of the same mounting standard. Before purchase, check that your existing plugs are compatible with the socket type. Industrial installations most commonly use the Euro or Orlen standard – these parameters must match throughout the system.
Before first use, check that the flow passages are clean – contamination can damage the seals. To fit the coupling to a hose, push the hose over the hose tail of the fitting until it seats firmly. With harder hose materials, it is advisable to soften the end in warm water.
During operation, check the connections for leaks periodically, particularly after repeated connection and disconnection. Damaged seals show up as air leaking under pressure. In industrial environments, parts should be replaced once corrosion or mechanical damage to the body is noticed.
Brass couplings do not require lubrication. Excess oil in the pneumatic system can lead to contaminants accumulating in the locking mechanism.
