A brass padlock with a 35mm body width, designed to secure gates, side gates, tool boxes and other items requiring mechanical protection against access. Made from brass, which provides corrosion resistance in outdoor conditions.
Brass is an alloy of copper and zinc with natural corrosion resistance. Brass padlocks do not rust when exposed to moisture and rain, which allows them to be used outdoors for long periods without the mechanism losing functionality.
A 35mm body width classifies the padlock as a solution for light and medium-duty applications. This size allows it to be fitted in standard hasps and staples used on garden gates, boxes and cabinets.
The padlock is fitted with a key-operated cylinder mechanism. The locking system is based on internal pins that block the shackle until the correct key with the matching cut is inserted.
The brass body and galvanised shackle ensure stable performance in changing weather conditions. The padlock maintains mechanism efficiency when exposed to rain, frost and sunlight.

35mm padlocks are a solution for items with a low to medium risk of break-in. To secure valuable tools or equipment in higher-risk locations, padlocks with a larger body width (50mm or more) and a hardened, cut-resistant shackle are recommended.
The padlock mechanism requires periodic lubrication with a graphite lubricant or a dedicated lock oil. Avoid lubricating with silicone-based products, which can cause dirt to build up inside the cylinder.
When used in conditions exposed to salt (coastal areas, roads in winter), more frequent cleaning of the mechanism and application of protective products are recommended. Brass naturally darkens over time - this process does not affect the padlock's mechanical properties.
After a long period of disuse, the padlock may need to be opened and closed several times to restore full smoothness of the mechanism. If the key jams, do not use excessive force - cleaning the cylinder with compressed air and re-lubricating it is advised.
