A cast iron padlock with a 50 mm body width, designed for securing gates, garages, outbuildings and equipment. The cast iron and steel construction provides basic protection against break-in attempts in applications with standard security requirements.
The body is made of cast iron resistant to mechanical impact. The material is hard enough to make piercing or cutting the body difficult, whilst also being resistant to weather conditions.
The shackle is made of hardened steel, providing resistance to cutting with a hacksaw and metal shears. The shackle diameter is matched to securing standard hasps and mounting eyes.
The 50 mm body width classifies this padlock as a medium-sized solution. This dimension provides a balance between compactness and mechanical strength, suitable for most general-purpose applications.
The set includes three identical keys, allowing spare copies to be kept in different locations or access to be shared between several users.

Measure the diameter of the hole in the hasp or mounting eye through which the shackle will pass. Make sure that the 50 mm body width will allow fitting in the available space. Cast iron padlocks are intended for applications with standard security requirements – to protect valuable equipment or rooms at higher risk of break-in, padlocks with a higher security rating are recommended.
The lock mechanism requires periodic lubrication with graphite spray or penetrating oil, particularly when used outdoors. Avoid lubricating with silicone-based products, which can cause the mechanism to clog. In conditions exposed to moisture, it is advisable to fit the padlock with the shackle pointing downwards, which minimises the accumulation of water inside the mechanism.
When fitting outdoors, it is worth using an additional rain cover or regularly checking the condition of the mechanism. Freezing water inside the lock can prevent it from opening – in this case, a lock de-icer can be used, or the key can be gently warmed before inserting it into the mechanism.
