A brass pneumatic Y-splitter that allows two devices to be connected to a single compressed air source at the same time. A pneumatic system component with 1/4" outlets and a G3/8" female thread.
A body made of brass provides corrosion resistance in damp air environments and mechanical durability during frequent assembly and disassembly. Brass has a low tendency to spark, which matters in certain industrial applications.
Two 1/4" outlets allow two pneumatic tools or devices to be supplied simultaneously from a single air distribution point. The standard 1/4" size ensures compatibility with most quick-release couplings used in workshop installations.
The locking system with four steel balls ensures a secure connection and prevents accidental disconnection under pressure or vibration. The balls distribute the retaining forces evenly, which increases the durability of the mechanism.
The G3/8" female thread (Whitworth parallel pipe thread) allows connection to air hoses, manifolds or compressor outlets. PTFE tape or sealing paste should be applied before assembly.

Before screwing in the splitter, clean the thread of any contamination and apply a seal – PTFE tape wound in the direction of the thread or sealing paste for pneumatic installations. Tighten with an open-ended spanner, avoiding excessive force that could damage the thread.
After assembly, check the connections for leaks at working pressure. Leaks can be detected by applying a soapy water solution – the appearance of bubbles indicates a leak. If a leak is found, unscrew the coupling, check the condition of the seal and refit it.
The brass splitter requires no special maintenance. Periodically check the condition of the locking mechanism – worn steel balls or springs can cause hoses to disconnect on their own. In dusty environments, it is advisable to blow the couplings through with compressed air.
