Butyl Tyre Repair Strings — Kraft&Dele KD10617 (50 pcs)
The KD10617 butyl repair string is a sealing material designed for both temporary and permanent repair of punctured tubeless tyres without removing the wheel. The pack contains 50 strings made from butyl rubber — a material with high elasticity and abrasion resistance that is widely used in tyre vulcanisation.
Product features
Material — butyl rubber
Butyl rubber has low air permeability and high elasticity, so the string fills the puncture channel tightly and moulds to the shape of the damage under tyre pressure.
4–7 mm thickness
The thickness range allows effective sealing of punctures caused by nails, screws and other sharp objects. The string fills larger-diameter holes where thinner rubber inserts might prove insufficient.
Repair without removing the wheel
The repair procedure does not require the tyre to be taken off the rim. Once the foreign object has been removed and the hole cleaned with a reamer, the string is pushed through the tread with an insertion tool — cutting the repair time to just a few minutes.
Pack of 50 strings
The number of strings in the pack makes it suitable both for personal use (repeated repairs, a spare set in the boot) and for workshop use when servicing a vehicle fleet.

How to use
Step-by-step repair procedure
1. Locate and remove the foreign object from the tyre.
2. Clean and enlarge the hole with a tyre reamer — this ensures even channel walls and better adhesion of the string.
3. Apply rubber cement to the tip of the insertion tool and to the butyl string — the cement improves adhesion and the durability of the seal.
4. Thread the string through the eye of the insertion tool and push it into the puncture so that both ends protrude above the tread surface.
5. Pull the insertion tool out in a single movement, leaving the string in the hole.
6. Cut the protruding ends of the string flush with the tread surface.
7. Inflate the tyre to the correct pressure and check for leaks.
Usage note
The butyl string is intended solely for repairing punctures in the tread of a tubeless tyre. Do not use it to repair damage to the tyre sidewalls or on inner tube tyres. If you are unsure about the extent of the damage, a check at a tyre workshop is recommended.
