Guide bar made from Mn65 manganese steel with a sprocket nose and roller bearing. A length of 30 cm (12 inches), 3/8" pitch and 1.3 mm groove width ensure compatibility with a wide range of petrol and electric chainsaws.
Features of the YATO guide bar
Mn65 manganese steel
A material with a higher manganese content offers increased resistance to wear and mechanical deformation. The guide bar retains its performance characteristics even under intensive use and elevated operating temperatures.
Sprocket nose with roller bearing
The roller bearing in the sprocket nose reduces friction as the chain runs, which means less component wear, a lower load on the engine and smoother chainsaw operation. The system also reduces the risk of the guide bar overheating.
Integrated lubrication system
An oil reservoir in the guide bar delivers a continuous supply of lubricant to the chain during operation. Effective lubrication extends the service life of both the chain and the guide bar itself, while also improving cutting efficiency.

How to check that a guide bar fits your chainsaw
Before buying, check three parameters in your chainsaw manual: guide bar length (in inches or centimetres), chain pitch (the distance between three consecutive rivets divided by two) and guide groove width. All three values must match those of the new guide bar. Also check the guide bar mounting type on the chainsaw body.

Use and maintenance
Before starting work, check the chain tension – a correctly tensioned chain should lift slightly off the guide bar but must not hang loose. During use, regularly check the oil level in the chainsaw's tank and the condition of the oil reservoir in the guide bar.
After finishing work, clean the guide bar of dirt, sawdust and resin. The guide groove should be cleaned periodically with a special scraper or a thin tool. Check the condition of the sprocket nose and bearing – excessive play or jamming means the guide bar needs replacing.
To ensure even wear, the guide bar should be turned over (top to bottom) periodically. Store the guide bar in a dry place, protected against corrosion by lightly oiling the working surfaces.
What the 3/8" U marking means
The letter "U" in the 3/8"U marking stands for the "Universal" version – the standard 3/8 inch pitch used on chainsaws for general-purpose applications. It should not be confused with 0.325" (8.25 mm) or 0.404" (10.26 mm) pitch, which require different guide bars and chains.
