An impact tool designed for chasing grooves in concrete, reinforced concrete, calcium silicate and brick. It is compatible with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS Max shank.
The chase width is matched to standard electrical and plumbing installations. It allows cables and pipes to be run in single chases without the need for additional widening.
A mounting system used on heavy rotary hammers above 5 kg. It ensures a secure seat in the chuck, eliminates play and transfers the full impact force to the cutting edge. Shank diameter 18 mm.
The material has been subjected to a special heat-hardening process, which increases resistance to abrasion and mechanical deformation when working in hard building materials.
The overall dimension of the tool allows chases to be cut to a standard installation depth with allowance for the finishing plaster. The working length once fitted in the chuck is approximately 240-250 mm.

The chasing chisel is compatible only with rotary hammers fitted with an SDS Max shank. It does not fit hammers with an SDS Plus shank (a smaller standard with a 10 mm shank diameter). Before purchasing, check the shank type on your tool.
Before starting work, make sure that the chasing chisel is correctly seated in the hammer chuck – a distinctive click confirms that it is locked. When chasing, it is recommended to guide the tool at an angle of around 30-45 degrees to the surface, which helps the material to break away and reduces the risk of jamming.
After use, clean the chasing chisel of dust and material residue. The shank should be greased periodically with graphite grease, which makes fitting and removal easier and protects against corrosion. The cutting edge can be restored by sharpening on a grinder, maintaining the original angle of the cutting edges.
Chasing grooves in concrete and brick produces a large amount of silica dust that is harmful to the respiratory system. A FFP2 or FFP3 dust mask and safety goggles are mandatory. Ear defenders are also recommended due to the high noise level generated by the rotary hammer.
