A complete set of four pliers for fitting and removing Seeger circlips. It includes tools for working with internal and external circlips, in straight and bent versions, giving versatile use in mechanical workshops and service centres.
Four types of pliers cover all the basic requirements for fitting and removing Seeger circlips. The straight and bent versions allow work in a range of spaces, including hard-to-reach areas.
The material provides increased hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. The chromium and vanadium alloy has better spring properties than standard tool steel, which matters when the jaws are squeezed repeatedly.
The handles have a rubber coating that stops the tool slipping during use. The rubber material absorbs the pressure applied, reducing hand fatigue during longer work.
The supplied tool roll makes the set easy to store and lets you quickly pick the right type of pliers. It prevents individual pieces from being mislaid in the workshop.

Designed for circlips fitted on the outside of shafts. The jaws compress the circlip so it can be seated in the groove on the shaft. The straight version is for open spaces, the bent version for areas with limited access.
Used for circlips fitted inside bores and sleeves. The jaws expand the circlip so it can be seated in the internal groove. The bent version makes work easier in deep recesses and bores.
Before starting work, check the condition of the plier jaws – they should be clean and undamaged. The tips of the jaws must fit securely into the holes of the Seeger circlip. When fitting or removing a circlip, apply pressure evenly to avoid deforming it or having it slip off the tool.
Bent pliers are used where access to the circlip is restricted by other components. The angle of the jaws makes it easier to work in confined spaces, for example inside mechanism housings.
After use, clean the pliers of any dirt and protect them against corrosion. The spring mechanism should move freely – if the jaws do not return to their starting position, this may indicate a worn spring or a dirty mechanism. Storing them in the supplied tool roll protects the tools against mechanical damage.
