Combination spanner for 38 mm nuts and bolts, made from chrome vanadium steel with a satin chrome finish. A workshop tool with a 15° offset ring head for working in confined spaces.
The material provides increased hardness and resistance to mechanical wear. A chrome vanadium alloy has better strength properties than standard tool steel, which translates into a longer spanner life under intensive workshop use.
The offset angle allows work in areas with restricted access where a standard straight spanner does not provide sufficient freedom of movement. It allows access to nuts in deep recesses and against structural obstructions without having to dismantle adjacent components.
The chrome layer protects the surface against corrosion and oxidation in workshop conditions. The satin finish reduces glare and makes the size marking easier to read, while keeping the tool looking good throughout its service life.
The handle span suited to 38 mm nuts provides adequate leverage when tightening bolted connections. The arm length allows sufficient torque to be generated without the need for extension bars, which improves working safety.

Before purchase, check the size of the nuts or bolt heads with a vernier calliper or by comparison with a spanner of known size. A 38 mm spanner corresponds to M24-M27 metric threads (depending on the strength class) and to some imperial standards. The size should be selected to an accuracy of 0.5 mm to avoid damaging the nut edges.
A combination spanner should be selected so that it fits closely against the nut surface across the full width of the jaws. A clearance exceeding 0.3 mm can lead to rounded edges and prevent further loosening. When tightening connections to a specified torque, a torque wrench with a suitable socket should be used.
After use, clean the tool of dirt and protect it with a thin layer of oil if it is to be stored in conditions of high humidity. The chrome surface requires periodic inspection for mechanical damage to the protective layer, which can initiate subsurface corrosion.
Do not extend the spanner handle with pipes or other tools, as exceeding the permissible torque can cause the tool to break or damage the threaded connection. For seized connections, use penetrating fluid and increase force gradually while checking the condition of the spanner and the thread.
