A double-ended workshop spanner combining the functions of an open-end and a ring spanner in a 32 mm size. A tool designed for assembling and dismantling bolted connections in the mechanical workshop, in industry and during repairs.
The spanner combines two types of end: open and ring. The open end allows quick assembly and dismantling in easily accessible places. The ring end grips the nut fully, which eliminates the risk of the tool slipping and increases torque.
The ring end is offset by 15° from the axis of the shaft, allowing work in confined spaces. The spanner can be repositioned with every turn, making it possible to tighten fasteners in hard-to-reach places where a full turn is not possible.
The chrome layer protects the steel against corrosion and the effects of moisture. The satin finish reduces glare during work, makes the engraved size markings easier to read and gives the tool a professional appearance. The surface resists scratching in regular use.
Additional polishing of the working surfaces of the heads increases the precision of fit to nuts and bolts. The smooth surface minimises friction and makes it easier to fit the spanner onto fasteners, reducing the risk of damaging the nut edges.

The 32 mm size corresponds to M20 metric bolts and nuts (30 mm spanner) and M22 (32 mm spanner). Before starting work, check the nut size with a vernier calliper or by test-fitting the spanner – a fit that is too loose will damage the edges of the fastener.
The combination spanner should be fitted onto the nut or bolt head so that the working surfaces sit fully flush. When tightening, apply force towards the ring end – this prevents the spanner from slipping off. Never extend the spanner with a pipe or any other tool, as exceeding the permissible torque may permanently deform the tool.
After use, clean the spanner of dirt, oil and material residue. The tool should be stored in a dry place, ideally in an organiser or on a tool board. Regularly checking the condition of the working surfaces helps identify signs of wear – rounded edges on the head indicate that the tool should be replaced.
When using a combination spanner, make sure the tool is correctly seated on the nut. If the spanner slips, the hand can be injured against sharp edges. For seized fasteners, use a penetrating fluid and wait a few minutes before trying to undo them again.
