Contour gauge 535 mm plastic YT-37364 YATO
A shape-copying and transfer tool with built-in magnets, designed for tiling, finishing and sheet metal work. It allows contours to be reproduced accurately in hard-to-reach places.
Contour gauge features
535 mm working length
Allows long, rounded lines and curves to be reproduced. This length is sufficient for most typical renovation and finishing applications, including cutting tiles around pipes or transferring skirting board profiles.
Plastic construction

Use and maintenance
How to use
Press the gauge square against the shape being copied so that the moving pins adapt to the contour. Once the profile has been reproduced, transfer the gauge to the workpiece and trace the resulting shape. When working on metal surfaces, the magnets hold the tool steady.
Maintenance
After use, clean the gauge of dust and residues of building materials. The moving pins can be wiped periodically with a dry cloth. Avoid storing the tool in places exposed to prolonged high temperatures, which may cause the plastic to distort.
Limitations
The gauge reproduces two-dimensional shapes in a single plane. It is not suitable for copying three-dimensional profiles or very deep recesses. The maximum depth of the contour reproduced depends on the length of the moving pins of the gauge.
