Portable cordless tyre inflator that can be powered either by an 18V battery or from a 12V cigarette lighter socket. The unit inflates tyres, mattresses, balls and sports equipment where there is no mains power supply.
A maximum pressure of 11 bar (160 PSI) is enough to inflate car and motorcycle tyres as well as most leisure applications. This lets you inflate a standard car tyre in 3-5 minutes.
An airflow of 21 l/min delivers efficient inflation while keeping the unit portable. At this output, an R15 tyre can be filled from 0 to 2.5 bar in about 4 minutes on a fully charged battery.
The inflator runs on Yato 18V batteries and can also be plugged into a vehicle's 12V cigarette lighter socket. This gives you independence from the mains supply and lets you work outdoors or when the vehicle battery is flat.
The kit includes a car valve adaptor (Schrader), a bike adaptor (Presta/Dunlop), a ball needle and 2 adaptors for mattresses and inflatables. The set removes the need to buy additional accessories.

The YT-23247 inflator works with all Yato 18V lithium-ion batteries. The shared battery system lets you use the same packs with other tools from the brand, which lowers running costs if you own several devices in the 18V range.
Before first use, fully charge the battery with a Yato charger (check that the charger model is compatible with the 18V battery). When inflating, check the pressure with the built-in gauge or an external pressure gauge.
After inflating car tyres, wait a few minutes and check the pressure again, as warm air can give higher readings. The target pressure should match the vehicle manufacturer's recommendations (typically 2.0-2.5 bar for cars).
The unit needs its air filter cleaning periodically and the condition of the hoses and nozzles checking. Do not run the inflator continuously for longer than 10 minutes – after that, let the motor cool down. Storing it in a dry place protects the electronics from moisture.
The integrated LED torch lets you inflate after dark or in poorly lit places such as underground car parks. It is particularly useful when changing a wheel at night or checking pressure in difficult lighting conditions.
