Crimping pliers designed for fitting uninsulated connectors and bootlace ferrules in the 0.08-2 mm² cross-section range. The tool features a cable cutting function and ergonomic plastic handles.
This parameter defines the cross-section of the cables the pliers can handle. The 0.08-2 mm² range covers cables from AWG 28 to AWG 14, which corresponds to typical low-current installations in electronics, automation and signalling systems. Before crimping, check the cross-section marking on the cable insulation.
The pliers handle two basic types of terminal: uninsulated connectors (without a plastic sleeve) used in distribution boards, and insulated bootlace ferrules used in control cabinets and automotive installations. The crimping die is suited to both types and ensures correct deformation of the metal without damaging the cable.
The blackening process (thermal oxidation) forms a protective layer on the steel surface, increasing resistance to corrosion in a workshop environment. The coating protects against moisture and prevents rust from forming when working in conditions of high humidity.
The built-in cutting blade removes the need for additional tools to prepare cables. It allows the cable to be cut to the required length and damaged sections to be removed immediately before crimping, which speeds up the assembly process.

Before buying connectors, verify the cross-section of the cables in the installation. The cross-section is given in mm² or in the AWG (American Wire Gauge) system. Connectors must match both the cable cross-section and the crimping die of the tool. An incorrect choice leads to a poor crimp and the connection may work loose.
Before first use, check the condition of the crimping dies – the surfaces must be clean and free from contamination. During work, the pliers should be held perpendicular to the axis of the cable to ensure even deformation of the connector.
After work, remove any insulation residue from the dies and clean the pivot mechanism. Store the pliers in a dry place in the closed position, which protects the dies from damage. Regular lubrication of the pivot points with engineering grease extends the life of the tool.
With intensive use, it is worth periodically checking the condition of the cutting blade and the crimping accuracy on a test cable. Worn dies can cause incorrect deformation of the connector, which reduces the reliability of the electrical connection.
