A cross-head screwdriver with a reinforced hammer-through construction. The PH1 tip is designed for Phillips cross-head screws, with a chrome vanadium (CrV) steel shaft.
The reinforced shaft and special construction allow the rear of the handle to be struck with a hammer. A useful solution when a screw has seized or when extra pressure is needed to drive screws into hard materials.
The PH1 size suits Phillips cross-head screws from 2.5 to 3.5 mm in diameter. Used in electrical installations, when fitting electrical accessories and for assembly work with medium-sized screws.
CrV offers greater hardness and wear resistance than ordinary tool steel. It provides a longer tip life under intensive use.
The two-colour construction with flutes prevents the tool from slipping out of the hand. The tip type marking on the handle makes it easy to identify the screwdriver quickly in a tool kit.

PH0 – screws up to 2.5 mm in diameter (fine work, electronics)
PH1 – screws 2.5–3.5 mm in diameter (electrical installations, standard assembly)
PH2 – screws 3.5–5 mm in diameter (building work, furniture assembly)
PH3 – screws over 5 mm in diameter (steel structures, heavy assembly)
Before striking, check that the tip is properly seated in the screw head. Hammer blows should be controlled so as not to damage the screw head. After use, clean the tip of debris and lightly oil the shaft to protect it against corrosion.
Store the screwdriver in a dry place. With intensive use, check the condition of the tip periodically – a worn or damaged tip can damage the screw head and make work difficult.
