The 400 mm length allows depth measurement across a wide range of components — from small holes to deep grooves and keyways in large mechanical parts. This range covers most workshop and inspection applications.
Accuracy ±0.03 mm and resolution 0.01 mm
Accuracy of ±0.03 mm (±0.001") is the maximum measurement error — a key parameter in quality control and precision machining. Resolution of 0.01 mm (0.0005") is the smallest unit shown on the display, allowing readings to hundredths of a millimetre.
LCD display with unit switching

How to use the digital depth gauge
Before measuring, zero the instrument by placing the measuring tip on a flat reference surface and pressing the zero button. When measuring, press the depth gauge base against the edge of the hole or groove and lower the measuring probe to the bottom of the recess being measured. The result appears immediately on the display. To maintain accuracy, avoid working at temperatures outside the 5-40°C range and protect the tool from dust and moisture.
Maintenance and storage
After use, clean the measuring surfaces of any contamination and protect the tool in its dedicated case. It is recommended to store it in a dry place at a temperature of -20 to +60°C. The SR44 battery with a capacity of 180 mAh provides long-term operation, but it is worth keeping a spare battery when the tool is used frequently. Avoid shocks and dropping the instrument, which may affect measurement accuracy.
