Professional drill chuck with a B16 taper mount, designed for hand drills, hammer drills and rotary hammers. Fitted with tungsten carbide jaws and an anti-loosening lock system.
Technical characteristics
B16 taper mount
The standard B16 Morse taper ensures compatibility with most hand drills rated above 750W. Before fitting, check the type of spindle socket in the drill – B16 and B18 tapers are not interchangeable.
1-16 mm clamping range
The universal range accommodates drill bits with shank diameters from 1 to 16 mm. It covers most bits for wood, metal and concrete, as well as diamond core bits used in installation and construction work.
Tungsten carbide jaws
Using tungsten carbide in the clamping jaws increases resistance to wear during frequent bit changes and when working with hammer drills, where the jaws are exposed to vibration.
Click lock system
The locking mechanism prevents the chuck from working loose during hammer mode or at high speeds. The lock engages automatically once the chuck is tightened.

Compatibility and fitting
Checking compatibility
Before buying, check the type of spindle socket in your drill. The B16 taper fits drills with a B16 socket – it is not compatible with B12, B18 or other sizes. The socket type is given in the drill's manual or on the tool's rating plate.
Fitting the chuck
Before fitting, clean the taper and socket of dirt and old grease. Apply a thin layer of machine grease to the taper surface. Push the chuck into the socket and twist gently until it seats – a correctly fitted chuck should not work loose.
Use and maintenance
The knurled outer surface makes it easier to tighten the chuck by hand, even when wearing work gloves. When fitting bits, tighten the chuck at all three clamping points – this distributes the clamping force evenly and eliminates axial runout of the bit.
After intensive work in hammer mode, the jaws should be checked for wear. Excessive wear shows as the bit slipping during use or difficulty clamping the shank. Clean the jaws of drilling dust regularly – dirt can prevent the chuck from closing fully.
Storage
Store the chuck in a dry place, protected from dust. Before extended storage, protect the jaws with a little light machine oil, which prevents corrosion and seizure of the clamping mechanism.
