The KD4253 is an electromagnetic air pump designed for aerating water in aquariums and garden ponds. Its electromagnetic motor delivers a stable airflow at a relatively low power consumption, which makes the unit suitable for continuous operation.
Key Features
Electromagnetic drive
The operating principle is based on the vibration of a diaphragm driven by an electromagnet, which eliminates rotating parts. This means less mechanical wear and a longer service life in continuous operation.
3900 L/h output
An airflow of 65 L/min allows larger bodies of water to be aerated — both aquariums of several hundred litres and above, and small to medium-sized garden ponds.
Noise level ~57 dB
A value of 57 dB corresponds to the level of a calm conversation. It may be noticeable in living areas, so fitting the pump away from rest areas or using anti-vibration pads is recommended.
8 mm outlet and compact housing

Sizing the pump to your tank
When choosing an air pump, a useful rule of thumb is that the output should be at least 0.5–1 L of air per minute for every 10 litres of water in the tank. With an output of 65 L/min, the KD4253 is suitable for tanks holding up to several thousand litres, depending on the fish stock and the type of filtration. In the case of garden ponds, the depth of the water must also be taken into account — the 0.030 MPa pressure allows operation with diffusers submerged to a depth of around 3 metres.
