An endless sanding belt with silicon carbide grains on a cotton backing, designed for sanding wood, metal, plastics and paint coatings in belt sanders.
SiC grains bonded with synthetic resin deliver effective sanding of both soft materials (softwood, aluminium) and hard materials (hardwood, steel). Their sharp edges retain their cutting ability for longer.
P150 grit (grain diameter ~100 µm) is used for intermediate and finishing sanding. It removes marks left by earlier sanding with a coarser abrasive and prepares the surface for painting or further processing.
The flexible cotton-fibre backing ensures good grain adhesion, tensile strength and belt flexibility. It allows sanding of both flat and slightly contoured surfaces without the risk of premature tearing.
The belt is permanently joined into a loop, eliminating the need to join the ends during use. It ensures even abrasive wear along its entire length and stable operation without vibration or slipping on the sander rollers.

A belt measuring 75 x 457 mm fits belt sanders whose rollers are spaced approximately 457 mm apart and whose belt width is 75 mm. Before buying, check the required belt dimensions in the machine's manual – manufacturers state them as width × circumference (e.g. 75 × 457 mm). The belt must match these values exactly.
Before fitting, check the direction of the arrow on the inside of the belt and fit it in line with the sander's direction of rotation. The belt should be tensioned evenly – if it is too loose it will slip, and if it is too tight it may tear prematurely.
During use, apply moderate pressure – too much pressure overheats the abrasive, clogs the grains and shortens the belt's service life. Once you have finished working, clean clumped dust off the belt with a brush or compressed air.
Store belts in a dry place, away from heat sources and moisture, which can weaken the bond and the cotton backing.
