An F-clamp with a 1200 mm clamping capacity and 120 mm throat depth. Designed for holding timber components together during gluing, assembly and machining in a woodworking workshop, as well as for general assembly work.
The bar is made from thick steel with additional pressed ribs that increase stiffness. This prevents flexing under load and ensures the clamping force is spread evenly along the full 1200 mm length, which matters when clamping large surfaces.
The pressure plate is mounted on a ball joint and automatically adapts to the angle of the workpiece surface. This allows components positioned at a slight angle to be clamped without the risk of a point load that could damage the material.
The specially profiled thread delivers smooth clamping with less resistance. This means faster work and less hand fatigue when the clamping force is adjusted repeatedly during assembly.
Soft plastic pads on the pressure plates protect timber surfaces from scratches and dents. The ergonomic handle with a soft-grip coating provides a secure hold and comfort when tightening.

Clamping capacity defines the maximum width of the component that can be clamped between the jaws. A value of 1200 mm allows standard table tops, internal doors and larger frame structures to be clamped. When choosing a clamp, it is worth allowing a safety margin – for components 1000-1100 mm wide, a 1200 mm clamp will be suitable.
Throat depth is the distance from the bar to the clamping line. It determines how far from the edge the clamping point can be positioned. A value of 120 mm allows the middle sections of wider boards to be clamped and makes it possible to work with components away from their edges, which is useful when gluing central biscuits or joining boards in large structures.
Before starting work, check that the clamping faces are clean and free from sharp edges. When clamping, it is worth checking that the pressure is even – particularly with materials that are prone to distortion. The screw thread needs to be cleaned periodically to remove wood dust and lubricated with a technical grease to keep the mechanism working smoothly.
After finishing work, release the clamp and clean off any residual glue and dust. Storing it in a dry place prevents corrosion of the steel parts. Check the condition of the plastic pads periodically – damaged pads can scratch the material when clamping.
