A solid felt disc designed for polishing work with compounds. The construction of an 8-millimetre felt layer on a fibreglass backing disc ensures stable operation when working on non-ferrous metals, carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
Technical features
Layered construction
An 8 mm felt layer bonded to a fibreglass backing disc. This combination ensures even pressure distribution during polishing and keeps the disc stable at higher speeds. The backing disc reinforces the whole construction and prevents deformation.
22.23 mm mounting hole
A standard bore size compatible with most 125 mm angle grinders. A diameter of 22.23 mm is the most common standard in power tools — check the spindle diameter in your machine's manual before fitting.
Felt structure
Felt of the right density effectively transfers polishing compound to the workpiece surface. The material does not scratch metal during use and, with the correct choice of compound and operating parameters, produces a smooth, glossy finish.

Use and maintenance
Fitting the disc
Before fitting, check that the bore diameter (22.23 mm) matches the grinder spindle. Tighten the retaining nut in the direction of the tool's rotation. Make sure the disc is securely mounted and has no play before starting the machine.
Working with polishing compound
Apply a small amount of compound to the felt surface before starting work. Match the type of compound to the material: different formulations are used for steel and for aluminium. Keep the pressure moderate while polishing — pressing too hard can overheat the material and reduce effectiveness.
Operating parameters
Recommended speed: 2,000-4,000 rpm depending on the material and type of compound. At higher speeds, the risk of overheating the surface and the compound increases. Work with a steady motion and avoid prolonged pressure in one place.
Disc maintenance
After finishing work, clean the compound residue from the felt with a wire brush or compressed air. Store the disc in a dry place, away from sources of heat. Replace worn felt (flattened, greasy) with a new disc — at that point it loses its polishing effectiveness.
