FFP2 filtering half masks without an exhalation valve, supplied in a pack of 5. The product is designed to protect the respiratory system against dust, fumes and aerosols at concentrations of up to 12 times the OEL.

FFP2 Filtration Class
The FFP2 marking (Filtering Face Piece 2) denotes a filtration efficiency of at least 94% for particles up to 0.6 micrometre in size. This class provides protection against fine-grained dust, solid and liquid aerosols, and fumes at concentrations not exceeding 12 times the occupational exposure limit (OEL).
Design Without an Exhalation Valve
The absence of a valve means that air is filtered in both directions – on inhalation and exhalation. This solution protects not only the wearer but also those around them, which is required in medical environments, laboratories and places where there is contact with other people.
Ergonomics and Fit
Flexible ear loops and an inner layer of soft material ensure a close fit against the contours of the face. Correct fit minimises the leakage of contaminated air past the filter area and increases comfort during many hours of use.
Pack of 5
The pack contains 5 disposable half masks. A single mask may be worn for a maximum of 8 hours of continuous work, or until a noticeable increase in breathing resistance occurs, which indicates that the filter has become saturated with contaminants.

Differences Between FFP2 Half Masks With and Without a Valve
Half masks without a valve (such as the YT-74971)
They filter air in both directions, protecting the wearer and those around them. Recommended in public places, medical facilities and wherever two-way protection is required. They may be less comfortable during prolonged use because of the greater breathing resistance.
Half masks with an exhalation valve
The valve makes exhaling easier, increasing comfort when working in high temperatures or under heavy physical exertion. Exhaled air is not filtered, so they do not protect those around the wearer – they are intended solely to protect the wearer against external contaminants.
Use and Maintenance
The YT-74971 FFP2 half masks are a disposable product. Before putting one on, check that the packaging is intact and that the mask is in good condition. Place the loops behind the ears and press the metal nose clip to the shape of the nose to achieve a close fit.
The maximum wearing time for a single mask is 8 hours of work, or less if breathing resistance increases, the material becomes damp or visible soiling occurs. Disposable half masks must not be washed, disinfected or reused – after use they should be disposed of in accordance with local waste regulations.
The product does not protect against gases, organic vapours or carbon monoxide. In oxygen-deficient environments (below 17% by volume) or where contaminant concentrations exceed 12 times the OEL, respirators with a forced air supply are required.
Storage
Unused half masks should be stored in their original packaging, in a dry place, away from sources of heat and direct sunlight. Storage temperature: from -20°C to +40°C. Moisture and high temperatures may reduce filtration efficiency.
