A paintbrush with a 50/50 blend of natural and synthetic bristle, fitted with a two-component non-slip handle. The 63 mm working width is well suited to precision painting with a range of paint types.
Combining natural and synthetic bristle in equal proportions brings together the strengths of both materials. Natural fibres provide flexibility and good paint absorption, while synthetic filaments add durability and make cleaning easier. This composition performs well with both water-based and solvent-based paints.
The handle, made from two materials with different properties, provides a stable grip during prolonged work. Its non-slip structure reduces hand fatigue and improves control over the tool, particularly during precise finishing work.
The galvanised sheet steel ferrule prevents the bristles from shedding and protects them from mechanical damage. Galvanisation increases resistance to corrosion on contact with water-based paints and during cleaning with solvents.
A working width of 63 mm is a versatile size for skirting boards, window reveals, doors and other surfaces requiring precision. A brush that is too narrow prolongs the work, while one that is too wide makes painting details more difficult.

Before first use, rinse the bristles in warm water and dry them thoroughly. This removes loose filaments that could settle on the painted surface. With solvent-based paints, it is also worth dampening the bristles with the appropriate thinner.
Once the work is finished, remove excess paint by squeezing the bristles from the ferrule towards the tips. Water-based paints are washed out with warm soapy water, while oil-based paints require white spirit or turpentine. Rinse the brush until the water or solvent runs completely clean.
A clean brush should be hung bristles down or laid flat. Storing it with the bristles pressed against a surface will deform them permanently. Before the next use, check that the bristles are still flexible and not stuck together.
