An electric garden shredder designed for mechanically cutting and shredding branches and plant waste. Fitted with a 2000W electric motor, it reduces material up to 39 mm in diameter into fine chippings suitable for composting.
The 2000W electric motor delivers enough torque to cut through hard branches. A speed of 4050 rpm means fast shredding – the machine reduces branches into chippings a few centimetres long, suitable for composting or for use as mulch.
This figure indicates the greatest thickness of material that can be fed safely into the shredder. A diameter of 39 mm corresponds to typical branches left after pruning shrubs, hedges and younger fruit trees. Feeding in thicker material may jam the mechanism or damage the blades.
The protection system automatically cuts the power to the motor if the blades jam or the machine is mechanically overloaded. This feature protects the motor from overheating and extends the service life of the machine. Once the cause of the overload has been cleared, the shredder can be restarted.
The fabric bag fitted beneath the shredder's outlet collects the shredded material. Its 50-litre capacity is enough to process a dozen or so kilograms of branches before it needs emptying. The bag makes it easier to transport the shredded material to the compost heap or storage area.

Check the condition of the cutting mechanism, that the collection bag is fitted correctly and that the machine stands securely. The shredder should be positioned on level, firm ground. Before starting work it is worth preparing the material to be shredded – remove soil, stones and metal objects from the branches.
Branches should be fed into the hopper gradually, without forcing them. Use the supplied plunger to push material through – never use your hands or any other object. If the machine jams, disconnect it from the power supply before attempting to clear the blocked material.
After use, clean plant residue out of the shredding chamber. Regular cleaning prevents corrosion and keeps the mechanism working smoothly. The blades need sharpening or replacing from time to time – blunt blades increase the load on the motor and reduce the quality of the shredding. Before storing the machine for a longer period, protect the metal parts with an anti-corrosion product.
The machine requires a stable 230V power supply. If an extension lead is used, it must have a cross-section of at least 1.5 mm² and be no longer than 25 metres. Longer or thinner cables can cause a voltage drop and weaken motor power. Connecting the machine to a circuit protected by an RCD is recommended.
