GBS W1 Hose Clip 26-28 mm G17354 GEKO
GBS-type hose clip with a hinged closure, made from W1 galvanised steel. Designed for durable joints on hoses and lines working under heavy mechanical load.
Technical features
Hinged design
The hinged closure spreads the clamping force evenly around the full circumference of the hose. It is tightened with a hex key, which allows precise control of the tightening torque.
Rolled band edges
The edges of the steel band are profiled, which eliminates the risk of cutting or damaging the hose surface even at maximum clamping pressure. Particularly important on hoses with a soft outer cover.
W1 galvanised steel
The zinc coating protects against corrosion in non-corrosive environments. The W1 designation indicates carbon steel galvanised by the hot-dip method, giving durability under typical industrial conditions.
Reinforced construction
The band, 0.6 mm thick and 18 mm wide, provides sufficient rigidity to hold pressure in hydraulic and pneumatic systems under medium loads.

How to choose the right size
Measure the outside diameter of the hose once it has been pushed onto the connector. Choose a clip whose range covers the measured value. For a hose 27 mm in diameter, model G17354 (26-28 mm) will give an optimum fit. Too wide a range may result in insufficient clamping pressure.
Use and maintenance
Before fitting, check that the surface of the hose and the connector are clean and free from contamination. Slide the clip onto the hose before pushing the hose onto the connector, then move it into position over the joint. Tightening with a hex key should be gradual – clamping too abruptly can damage the hose.
On installations exposed to vibration, periodic checks of the tightening torque are recommended. GBS-type clips require no additional maintenance, but in damp environments it is worth checking the condition of the zinc coating. At the first signs of corrosion, the clip should be replaced.
Application limits
W1 galvanised steel clips are intended for non-corrosive environments. On installations exposed to chemicals, seawater or aggressive gases, stainless steel clips (AISI 304 or 316) should be used.
